Every year Medieval English Theatre runs a conference meeting around the last Saturday in March, each time at a different venue and on a different topic in the study of early theatre.

The format varies, but usually consists of brief papers followed by informal discussion. Practical workshops and performances are often included. Papers delivered at the meeting may be invited for consideration for publication in the journal. Members of the Society are automatically on the mailing list for the meetings, and have a preferential attendance rate. We welcome postgraduate students and also non-members.

The 2020 Meeting, on the topic of
Consumption, Performance, and Early Theatre,
will take place on Saturday 4 April at the University of Wolverhampton,
hosted by Daisy Black.

CALL FOR PAPERS

On the previous day (Friday, 3 April 2020) there will be a Postgraduate and Early Career Symposium organised with the Early English Drama & Performance Network; more information about this will be posted soon.
